Description: Hayward Regional Shoreline is a section of the San Francisco Bay Trail, a system of connected trails that, when completed, will make a 200 mile loop around the San Francisco Bay shoreline. The Hayward Regional Shoreline section consists of 5 miles of flat gravel and dirt trails on levees along the shoreline and wetlands.   The route is an out and back, making 9 miles of riding. While flat, there is good opportunity to see birdlife along the ride, the Bay and the San Francisco skyline.  Our recommended route can be extended by taking a pedestrian bridge over state route 92 and continuing on the Bay Trail south, or by continuing on the paved Bay Trail at the north end of the park. Restrooms are at the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center on Breakwater Ave, at the parking lot at the end of W. Winton Ave, and along the trail at the northern end of the park. .

In the Wet Season:  Trails are open.

Directions:  The recommended route starts at the southern end of the park on Breakwater Ave., accessible from the Eden Landing Rd. exit from State Route 92.   A link to the parking location in Google Maps is here.   Parking lots for the park are also at the end of W. Winton Ave. in Hayward and at the end of Grant Ave. in San Lorenzo.
