Description: This route combines the Big Ride in Sanborn County Park with the Big Ride along the “ridge” trail, creating a continuous 23.5 mile route, 47 miles out and back. With nearly 8000 feet of climb, this challenge ride is the most difficult route outlined in this guide. If you are going to try this one, train, train, train, train! Then be prepared on the day of the ride with plenty of food and water. Restrooms at parking area on Black Mountain Rd., in Castle Rock Park, and in Skyline and Russian Ridge Mid-Peninsula Regional Open Space parks.
In the Wet Season: Various sections of this route may be closed after rains.
