Description: St. Joseph’s Hill consists of 4 miles of trails along a ridge south of Los Gatos. Our recommended ride combines these trails with the upper section of Los Gatos Creek Trail, which is mostly dirt, to make an 8 mile loop that takes in all the trails on St. Joseph’s Hill. Most of the trails, including the main Jones Trail that runs the length of the park, are wide dirt roads. Those trails are complimented by two short single tracks. St. Joseph’s Hill and Los Gatos Creek trail are very close to Los Gatos and very popular with hikers and runners. Weekends and weekdays can find the trails crowded and park police on site giving citations to cyclists who exceed the 15 mph speed limit. Restrooms are at the Lexington Reservoir parking area on Alma Bridge Rd.
In the Wet Season: Trails remain open
Directions: Jones Rd. 0.5 miles south of downtown Los Gatos. A link to the parking location in Google Maps is here. Street parking often fills in the morning. Trails are also accessible from Lexington Reservoir County Park on Alma Rd.
