Calero Big Ride

Calero – The Big Ride Turn by Turn:

  1. From the Main Entrance Parking Lot, take the Oak Cove Trail. 5.5 mile, Rolling
  2. Left onto Cottle Trail, 1.0 miles, climb to the Cottle Rest Site
  3. Straight onto Chinsantuk Peak Trail, 2.5 mile, climb.  
  4. Right on Bald Peaks Trail, 0.1 mile, dirt road, climb. The trail runs to the border with Cañada del Oro Open Space, where it continues on. (For an additional challenge, continue on the Bald Peaks Trail another 0.8 miles one way to the highest point in Cañada del Oro. If you take this additional challenge, once at the peak, turn around to return on Bald Peaks Trail to the border with Calero County Park, adding a total of 1.6 miles to the overall route) 
  5. Turn around and return to Cottle Rest Site, 2.6 mile descent. (if you had continued on Bald Peaks Trail into Cañada del Oro, at this point continue straight into Calero Park 2.6 miles to the Cottle Rest Site)
  6. Continue straight on Cottle Trail, 3.8 milesRolling
  7. Right onto Lisa Killough Trail, 0.3 mile, Descent
  8. Left on North Ridge Trail, 1.1 mile loop back to Lisa Killough Trail. rolling
  9. Right onto Lisa Killough Trail, 0.1 mile, climb
  10. Right to stay on Lisa Killough Trail, 4.4 mile, rolling
  11. Straight onto Oak Cove Trail, 5.5 miles, rolling
